Format Hints

When adding or editing a new meter channel you can set a hint to the required format of the reading.  For numeric values prefix the example format with the letter 'N', for example N1234.56 sets the hint to a number of 4 digits followed by a decimal point and two digits, N12345678 would be an 8 digit number with no decimal places.

When a user of Rita Mobile scans a QR Code the new 'reading' field will show the 'Hint' in pale grey font, as soon as the user selects the field to enter a value the Hint will be removed.
