Rita Mobile - Taking a Reading

Taking readings

Once a Round has been loaded you are ready to take readings.

Simply point the device's camera at the meter's QR Code and press scan, Rita Mobile will then display details of the meter including the previous reading on this meter and any instructions associated with this meter/channel. If the meter has more than one channel, such as Day, Night meters, you will need to select the relevant channel before you are able to enter any new reading.
NB: If this meter/channel has already been read during this round then the previous reading will be outlined in Green.

As you enter the new reading the resulting consumption will be calculated and outlined according to the tolerance rules. Once you have entered the reading you have the option of entering a comment before pressing 'Save'. If you decide to Skip this meter you will be required to enter a comment before you exit this screen.

Flashlight
On most Android devices you can use the camera's flash light as a torch by pressing the device's Volume Up button during the QR Scan.

Note: The Rita Mobile App can be stopped and started any number of times during the round without any loss of data, this mechanism extends to powering down the mobile device, running other applications and extended periods of non-use. Basically unless you use the Reset function on the Settings page of Rita Mobile, or wipe the entire device, the readings you have taken will be maintained until you upload them.
